Comment:
Balantidium coli trophozoites - 50 - 100 microns x 40 - 70 microns with kidney shaped macro nucleus and a micro nucleus, cytostome and cillia in faecal smear stained with Pap stain. Causes balantidiasis - ulcers are wider mouthed than in amoebic dysentry in 5 yr old male in PNG.
